New things are seldom perfect at first. #Zapvertising aligns incentives more appropriately than traditional advertising because #nostr and #bitcoin remove middlemen who would want to exert control and influence over the process, platforms, and people. The same censorship resistance is afforded to all, whether individuals or companies/organizations. A few added controls to manage the user experience side of zapvertising will help, and those will come. It’s exciting to be part of a major paradigm shift like this. 💜🤙

I have seen some good takes and fair critiques, but also a lot of overreacting to it.
All the big accounts that already get zapped tons lining up like this can be annoying. It is within my power to block and unfollow and I'll never see that person again. Very different from other sites where I don't get a say.
To be clear, I think zapvertisers should find smaller accounts that already posted about their product. Then hit them with the zap, boost, comment trifecta. More beneficial to everyone involved that way.
Love the meme 🤣 Yea existing features and a few added ones to let users control what we see will be helpful. It will be interesting to see how it’s utilized. I imagine there could be different approaches depending on whether a company wants to reach existing customers vs. new and potential customers. I’m also curious how it might be different with companies having the ability to easily and directly reach customers on an open system like this, instead of being reliant on third party platforms or agencies that might want to control the messaging/products/etc.
