I don't get why people like these companies that sell you gift cards and similar stuff for Bitcoin and make you pay more than you would pay if using fiat. Is the goal to make Bitcoin look inferior?

Bitrefill, The Bitcoin Company, they always charge you a lot more than the nominal value of the thing they're selling.

A for-profit company claiming theyre not making a profit on the thing theyre selling to you? I think not.

These cards allow you to purchase privately and that has value. You can see it as a privacy premium
