Great. what do you mean when you say Brahmacharya?
Celibacy for God Consciousness
Celibacy is one of the many principles of Brahmacharya.
It has more to do with thoughts than our actions
If we follow celibacy but have some bad intent in our mind, then it’s not Brahmacharya too.
Shiva is always in a state of Brahmacharya even when Shiva & Shakti stays together.
Afterall, Brahmacharya is about to have the total control of our mind in our hands. No thought can enter or emerge in our mind without our permission. Fear can’t even touch Brahmachari.
the literal meaning ( of Bramhcharya) is being one with Bramh .. #Bramh simply means the continuum .. the entirety of information.
in Hindu vantage - Bramh is created by Vishnu and is fully understood by Siva.. Vishnu is the creator and Siva is one who governs the creation . Creation is #Bramh - it includes past present and future , thus continuum is an appropriate word ..
following eternal rules of creation is this Bramhcharya . Celibacy is just a means to the end .. a very important part though ..
in Gita , chapter 3 - Krishna tells Arjuna - Bramh Akshar Samudbhvam - means Bramh is created from immutable . .. immutable is Vishnu .. somewhat like Bitcoin ledger :-)
So yes, Brahmacharya is the way. But it is a very broad set of rules and definitions that I have seen people believing that “Brahmacharya is only celibacy”
