Israel funds Hamas because they need the people of Gaza to remain poor & terrorized, because without that they will never be able to justify taking the land. It's basically the same playbook the US has used to bomb & overthrow nearly every anti-dollar regime in the Middle East only Israel wants to use their puppet terrorists to eliminate everyone so they can take the land.
