I wish we could just see more Millenials stepping up though. I feel there's a fine mix between boomers not giving up the mantle and millennial feeling like they can't fix the system, through the system.
Most of us here are quite literally outside the system. Who then will step up?
Millennials are stepping up … we just had to grow up first. Gen X was busy building the internet and martyring themselves for truth, freedom of expression, and war. Millennials were kids being force fed dyes, food pyramids, preservatives, adhd meds, and participation trophies.
Our parents were so busy being yuppies and keeping up with the jones’ that university debt became aspirational. We listened, got burned, and now we’re sick of it. We are leading the charge and encouraging our younger cousins Gen Z to keep it up.
We are raising decentralized children and they will be greater than the greatest generation. Unfortunately, Boomers are too proud to take accountability, apologize, and get out the way.
