I started Abode Kitchen and Home Goods as an avenue to make some side money.
I started small in my local community and have had plenty of satisfied customers because, while I sell mass produced items, I give the experience of buying a custom feel.
I was told to start selling online, that it would expand my business a bunch. So, naturally, I decided to give it a try.
Facebook marketplace helped me grow a TON and I got super excited. The huge push in momentum motivated me to open my sales channels to anything that was available.
Etsy, Ebay, Shopify, and I started offering shipping...
EVERY SITE has suspended me simply because I advertise the fact that I accept bitcoin for payment.
Most websites wouldn't even give me the courtesy of telling me why I was being suspended, they just pulled the plug.
I managed to get Facebook to tell me and luckily, they gave me the opportunity to remove any reference to bitcoin in my item descriptions and let me keep my marketplace presence. I did so begrudgingly and still offer discounts for bitcoin purchases when I meet with my buyers in person.
This experience really opened my eyes to the potential dependency my company might experience if I grow a large online presence and has highlighted the HUGE importance of Nostr.
Putting your blood and sweat into growing a presence on Nostr is true sovereignty. If my business grows here no one can take it away by simply suspending me without a reason or a chance to rectify whatever it was I might have been doing.
While I haven't received an order over nostr yet, I've seen other stores gaining traction here and I can only hope more people grow more comfortable with making purchases over the protocol.

The life and soul of your food come from the philosophy behind it.
You may be drawn to the precision of classical cuisine, the creativity of molecular gastronomy, the purity of farm-to-table, or the boldness of fusion cooking, every dish tells a story.
Cooking isn’t just about ingredients—it’s about intention.
Which school of thought defines your kitchen?

I'd love to use shopstr to the max! Thing is I've got over 50 items to list and the process is a bit slow to do so.
If you can and are willing to say, what Features are you looking to implement next?
Yummy! 🥹 when you cook do you get into it with music and wine? Or do you find cooking to be a chore?

Shopstr is an exciting client but like nostr:nprofile1qqspcxtmzt9feczptdcwwszmjac0pmrtena4nvetvw406sktyshpvsspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszxmhwden5te0wa5x2ct59e5xzurs096xzan9wfhzucm09ukydmyj said, takes a while to upload a listing. I started on Facebook marketplace and have become partial to some of the features there. Anyone know who the dev is for shopstr, id love to give some user feedback to help!
So when you're all buying from nostr:nprofile1qqsppdnxpjc82jlm3yn9gawhv7p4nm69a3f80rg5ycw305xned2s0hcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtcpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uy85q3f, don't forget to stop my stall for your towels. Weird don't wash off, but stank does. 🫡
