Have you ever thought about changing up the way you educate your kids??

It's been a mind bender of a journey for us...

The first year was filled with fear, thoughts of, 'omg am I destroying my kids future?!'

Then the longer we did it, the more relaxed we became. We started to see the benefits almost immediately.

Noah had less anxiety about meeting new kids, he began coping better in different environments, more confidence, happier, more belief in himself, more self-directed learning, he tells me what he's learning, he's teaching me what he knows 😍😍😍

Aaliyah is different, but she prefers picking her own path and needs no push from me to read or study. She is extremely self-motivated to learn 🀩

The longer we do it, the more I discovered just how broken the education system is. The longer we do it, the happier I am about our decision πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Because, the truth is, as a parent of a kid in the system, I had very little idea of my child's strengths and weaknesses, only what is provided on the report cards every other term... But being home every day... I know exactly where they struggle, exactly where they thrive and we go around what is required, and allow our beautiful kids to learn their way πŸ™πŸ™

Aaliyah is reading countless books. Noah is reading 'The Laws of Human Nature'. Elijah is reading the 9 story treehouse series... When we left Australia, we ditched the curriculum and found absolute educational freedom. πŸ¦‹

There are plenty of ways to do education, and if your child isn't thriving in the system, switching it up is an awesome opportunity... For the kids and the family πŸ˜πŸ’πŸŒ±

Having spent time being homeschooled, in private schools and in a public middle college system for my high school years, I’ve learned that it was a waste of many years and many hours. With my daughters, I plan to unschool as much as Is feasible. I plan to make sure they can read, write and do basic math. Everything else they can figure out when they need or want to with those skills. I may have to bend the knee a bit to North Carolina’s requirements but we’ll see

I absolutely LOVE this. Teaching the small ones to read is so rewarding 🫢

I'll never forget the moment our boy picked up a book and was reading and we were just blown away. πŸ€©πŸ’œ

How old are your daughters? πŸ’›

My first is just 18 days shy of a year, and my second is due in September. Neither one was planned lol.

Ohh congratulations. You're so blessed. Millionaire for life πŸ’―πŸ’œπŸ«ΆπŸ§‘

Thanks! It’s been wild for sure lol
