You have flown over the pond, correct? Did you fly at day or night?

It Spins clockwise in the daytime and anticlockwise in the evening.
No, when you fly over the pond at night high enough and more norther. You will notice to the north that it doesn't have the same darkness because you are seeing a bit of sunlight from the other side of the earth at 1200 (time) their time zone.
Sucks for sleeping on a jet though.
When they say slowing down, they could mean orbital.
The funny thing is the answer is … both.
If it spins, a pound weight should weigh less at the equator.
