Imo, Yes. Because government controls the sheep I mean people and they do not want nor will ever give up control of that and give sheeple freedom.

Could also just turn off or limit internet access.

I'm 100% sure other countries won't come to save us and start sending rockets at gov buildings as we are the ones that let our gov become what they are and other countries don't try to play the role of world police like the USA does anyways....
