First you could export child seeds via SeedQR from our Key Manager extension.

Next you'll be able to populate the Passport master seed from a SeedQR or Compact SeedQR. 🔥

Explain further please. Does this mean it could function as a replacement for a seedsigner? Or used as a signing device for the seedplate?

Passport is not stateless, so it's not a drop in replacement for a device like a SeedSigner, but you could easily use one in a very similar way and get many of the other benefits Passport offers.

A stateless seedqr mode would be very interesting, such that you selected the mode and Passport stayed in seedqr mode, forgetting the seed each time on power down.

I bought a passport incorrectly expecting this feature. I'm not using it because its not there.
