I wouldn't recommend that liberty loving people live anywhere near a place that might contain thousands of the sort of retarded savages who can be worked into a socialist mob, but guns tend to make people scatter even when their numbers are large. The people leading the charge aren't thinking "you can't kill us all" they are thinking "I don't want to get shot." Patriotism was basically invented because self preservation naturally tends to take over in battle. A socialist mob will never be motivated by much of anything beyond basic greed & envy.
