I have just dropped some tea on my laptop and my mouse is now acting out and throwing a tantrum. All the work I had planned to do will now have to wait.
Do you think my laptop will recover if I just leave it alone for a while?

#thinkpad models have a drain mechanism embeeded underneath the keyboard, not sure if it also cover the mousepad.
The problem cames if your coffee had sugar added, that will make the fluid more sticky and therefore it will not drain fully.
I once had all of the delicious juices that were left behind from a baked salmon that was marinated in lots of lemon juice poured on my laptop keyboard...
Safe to say I purchased a new laptop.
Hopefully no sugar in that tea! Beat of luck!
No big deal use external mouse (usb) until it drys
