This will get missed because it's Saturday, or because it's me, but this is fascinating. Stop here if you don't know who Gilgamesh was. This article ponders that Inanna might be the first literary character. I'll have to read Gilgamesh again to see what I can find. In this section of literature, there are floods, resurrections, gods and goddesses. Remind you of anything? All of this happened at least 5,000 years ago, probably much longer than that. Cool, huh?
