It seems far more appropriate for a node runner to determine what they will allow hosted than for a protocol-level, top-down ban.
Node? What node? Nostr runs on relays, which are not, or should not, by definition, do anything other than... relaying.
That's why we have to use third party services such as voidcat and the like to attach images to notes -- because the relay doesn't host them.
