Buy organic. The list of weird shit being done to food is too long to list. Even if you think some of the organic standards are not useful, it at least puts a constraint on what those farmers are doing to the food you're about to eat.

I agree. Organic isn't all that it is supposed to be, but it is still a ton better than the alternative.

I find it especially important for grains. (I don't eat grains at all being keto, but my family does)

I probably should have included a call to grow some of your own veggies at home. It's pretty easy to do more than zero, although my bad luck this year is putting that to the test.

I grow some, but never as much as I'd like. We have a short growing season so if you do something wrong, there is no time to correct. I also get a bit lax in my garden maintenance when the highs get over 90F. I don't handle 90s well.
