According to Derek I'm this thread yes. Clonezilla uses dd internally, so it should do the trick. I have used it hundreds of times, clonezilla is great. I use it after I have my system set up how I like for a possible reinstall later if needed πŸ‘

Clonezilla boots from a USB drive. You boot the machine from your USB. It will save the drive image to another external USB. Then you can use them to restore on the other drive.
