Such a strange place for bitcoin... The Core side constantly demanding that Knots fork it (why?), and the influencers all scared of forks (why?).

Consensus builds our single, decentralised chain. Fracturing it with contentious forks jeopardises the network's integrity and the very trust placed in its ledger. Unity protects.
Eh, I guess. Unity can do the opposite, too. IMO forking is more cypherpunk.
Is it strange? Or is this exactly what always happens?
