As valid as this is right now, there are centralized solutions coming to fix most of these logistical problems, and they may even provide better UX than bitcoin.
Don't lose the plot. Fiat money fundamentally sucks. Even when it is more convenient.

Indeed! BTC have huge UX problems for average (non-maxi people), let alone the sense of short term volatility (most people want their money for short term needs unfortunately). Fiat has fundamental problems, and great UX. Being overdramatic or fanatic does not help the adoption. We need to keep building plain better self-sovereign solutions, communicate them fairly, and get out of the Nostr/Bitcoin bubble for a couple of hours a day (despite my admiration for both techs).
