No thank you for doing it yourself. As a car girl myself, I repair my friends cars and teach them so that they don’t have to rely on mechanics. It’s the best feeling <3

Last year they quoted me around $1200 to replace my spark plugs at the dealership. I bought them, rolled up in my baby blue PINK sweatpants, and replaced them in their parking lot. Screw em. Maybe a diagnostic but YouTube is great

That’s awesome! I love seeing it. The looks ppl give when a girl is working on her car are priceless and the feeling of independence is empowering. I do have trouble torquing to spec with my girl hands…they are diamond hands

Always! Plus, you can rent tools at the auto shops for specialty things like the serpentine belt. Why would I pay thousands in fiat if I can do it myself?
YouTube is the new Haynes. Had to replace my front struts not long ago and I’ve never done that. Not only found a walkthrough of the procedure on the tube but also one showing it for my exact year and model.
That’s the way to do it! In his defense he would have done it all himself but he’s out of town at the moment and I’m stubborn as hell. He just didn’t want me to have to do it. 💜
