I’ll make perhaps an unpopular statement here on nostr.

Because of the way Elon is conducting himself in our govt, and DOGE, how many people have died or face harm because of his drastic overnight cuts to vital services for Americans and people around the world that’s illegal and unconditional but he doesn’t care)? Even if it’s, 1 (many estimations it’s thousands), that’s too many.

Should people be lighting teslas on fire? No, it’s stupid and unlawful. But do I care about that compared to Elons actions? Fuck no. They’re cars. And shitty cars at that.

The rage and horror over teslas burning, compared to Elons actions as an unelected bureaucrat (again, not that cuts are made…but the way in which it is unfolding in a shoot then aim fashion), is what I find disturbing.

Continuing to kick the can is going to have major consequences for future generations, we need a massive decrease in government spending yesterday. Yes, there will be consequences for people that receive government assistance but I'm more worried about future generations and the United States as a going concern. The US government is such a bloated blob that you need to reduce its size with a sledgehammer. You can't reduce the size systematically. Unfortunately there will be consequences for some. Don't blame Trump/Elon, blame past politicians that ran up a massive bill and passed it on to future generations.

For sure, it needs to be across the board. No one can convince me that having 800 military bases in foreign countries benefits the American people.
