Users can choose what clients they want to use.

Users can choose what relays they want to use.

Users can run their own relays.

There are open source clients that can be modified.

The API is open. Nobody needs permission from a central controller to create an account, post or do stuff with events.

Relay service providers are free to choose what messages that store and relay, set fees and offer related services (filtered messages, long term storage etc)

It's permissionless and censorship resistant.

Influencers may post bounties to sway development of features but these are going to still be open and only pursued if the net result is in ones own best interest.

The algorithms in terms of pushing content to users really depends on the closed vs open nature of a client and the relays it's sourcing from

ok thanks

the protocol can be changed by consensus.

obviously jack has the majority of the vote.

he can change the protocol and put in an algorithm.

he wrote a note about that.

when i asked him about it, asked for details, i got bullied and personally attacked by one of his guard dogs instead of providing an answer.

this tells me indirectly that an algorithm will be put into the protocol.

if it is in the protocol it will also be in any client no matter what you use.

it will lead to shadowbanning and become the same as twitter

with the difference of more options of what client to use

The algorithms will be in the clients and relays, not the protocol.

Yes, there will be curated clients and relays that follow some ideologies and politics, but not all.

that is what he said i saw it.

but what i asked about was the implementation on protocol level.

no answer means they will just do it. jack controls the protocol

Not trying to argue but you're wrong on this. Jack can't change the protocol in such a negative way. It's too decentralized to allow that to happen with enough ease. Slay your heroes applies in all walks of life.

jack might not think it is 'negative'. these people have other ideas than you and myself. they are not your friend.

what would stop him from pushing it and implementing it at protocol level?

i think he will do it. it will also be commercialized.

i have a good feeling for forecasts. 99.9% i am right on (near)future developments. save this note
