Unsustainable operations require terrible solutions

- They are hoping for some sort of AI miracle to come and save the day

Same thing in the US - new rule (no one is really aware of) called TEFCA that gives the government access to your medical records at any time without your consent.
WTF really?
Yup--all the government has to say is they need the info for "benefits determination" and they get complete access to your entire medical record without needing to ask you for permission.
And there's (of course) no specification on what the "benefit" might be...could be anything from free vaccines, to SNAP, to whatever--if it's a "benefit" (as defined by the government) and they feel they need access to make a "determination" then they get access.
