It was great to be in Antwerp again yesterday. At the Belgian bitcoin embassy end of year quiz I received the first prize. Dinner for our family at the restaurant where we build the miner installation to heat it. It’s actually amazing to see how much proof of work is in the Belgian community. Mining, education, real use of bitcoin and a lot of knowledge. I’m really happy we speak the same language and are able to strengthen each other beyond our fictive borders. I have been joked at as the typical Dutch tradesman always towing around my backpack with signing devices. But you have to understand as an official reseller, I still believe the best signing device buy is peer to peer. There is absolutely no trace, which is amazing. The people that have bought signing devices throughout the past year have helped my business do the work it’s intended to do. Proper bitcoin use for all, from mining to self custody in a privacy focused manner. People appreciate the deletion of data after ordering via our webshop and that we only accept bitcoin. We’ve seen thousands of visitors and over a thousand orders handled by our family. There were less mining installations I build personally this year, but more miners that were installed through my help in total. In the end this means we decentralized the network even more than 2022, which means I have been successful in my goal. My life goal is simple. Achieving a bitcoin standard for future generations. If i don’t achieve this I’ll have failed my children. In this stage of bitcoin I’m trying to decentralize the network further, ensure proper self custody and change the mainstream narrative of bitcoin by educating via proof of work.
