The 27 Martyrs of Sahuayo.

Today, March 21, we commemorate the 96th Anniversary of the 27 Cristero martyrs who were brutally murdered in the atrium of the Santiago Apóstol parish in Sahuayo Michoacán and were murdered one by one without cause and with the luxury of cruelty with the aim of frighten the population by the federal government, but this was nothing more than an impressive testimony of faith and heroism for the people.

Finally their bodies were transferred in two carts to the pantheon and there they stayed in a common grave.

This happened on a Friday in Lent.
