A re-occuring scenario:

Visit someone's house with a friend/companion.

Companion sees feline and attempts to entice it with hand motions, sounds, etc.

I try a different method. I send the cat thoughts like, "Please don't come near me. Please don't jump into my lap."

Feline pretends to be interested in something else while approaching me, then jumps into my lap.

I win!
