I think it all depends how fast the adoption happens. The slower and more grassroots the better.
Historical examples of technology adoption happen fast and initially create a greater distance between haves and have-nots before making their way down the supply chain.
Ultimately those who create the most value will benefit (proof of work) so in the longrun I think it will be fair. Much better than our current system. Some bitcoiners may also choose to provide public services that will lift others up with no strings attached.
In many ways I am already living in a reality seperate from a majority of society. I anticipate that will accelerate.
