I remember reading an account from a woman in the early 1900’s where she described how her dreams changed after she encountered movies and television for the first time.

I think about that a lot.

The types of dreams that humans had throughout all of history are now inaccessible to us in modernity.

I somewhat disagree..

We're all experiencing this thing called the human condition, and whilst the symbols within dreams may change their meaning from culture to culture, with the passing of time, or even with specific new experiences from person to person, *thematically* we all share the same dreams
