I really want to test out these kinds of micro apps, but I’m hesitant to put my private key all over the place (I’m on an iPhone). Not being technical, I have no good way of knowing whether a client is responsibly handling keys or not.

nsecBunker support coming https://lnshort.it/nsecbunker

Yea I get you. It could take awhile to earn the trust, can create a new key and give it a try first.

It’s not just about trusting you; the trust is all the way to the system and the user; you could accidentally paste it somewhere you didn’t intend to

You shouldn't paste your nsec! On an iPhone, you can use the app called Nostore in the app store to store your nsec. It acts as a singing device for your key. πŸ«‚

Yes, clients asking for your nsec Ada way to login are a brutal anti pattern

Browser apps o mobile looks like it has no way but type nsec.

There’s a bunch working on supporting this already (don’t tell anyone yet 🀫)

Watching everything develop the last several months has been very exciting!

It’s growing exponentially too. Can’t keep up anymore. I guess I’m gonna die trying πŸ˜„

I just hope it can stay decentralized. Are you aware of any sites or clients that have metrics to track how decentralized/centralized the protocol is?

Next microapp: clone #[13]

Try NIP-46 login. More PWAs will support this soon

Do you know what clients besides coracle.social, nostr.kiwi, and highlighter support this right now?

Copy and paste.
