Breathe with your diaphragm, not your chest, and notice the change in mind state

Puffing your chest and breathing with it puts you in kind of 'fight or flight' mode. Yet they teach us this. Just watch a baby breathe, they haven't learned yet.

You will likely need to work up to it, it is muscle and needs work. I almost never notice anyone breathing this way.

Breathing with the diaphragm also aids in digestion

Yes, also look at a baby's immaculate seated posture. And the way their butt sticks out when they stand. We can (re)learn a lot from a baby.

Absolutely, diaphragm breathing (belly breathing) is indeed the correct technique. It's reassuring to hear someone else affirming this foundational knowledge, as it's not widely recognized.

It's akin to rediscovering the art of walking without shoes--being barefoot fundamentally changes your stride, thereby influencing your posture and ultimately enhancing your mobility.

Love me some barefoot hiking using the 'fox walking' technique. The grounding is great, I lose any stress almost immediately more so than grounding by touching a tree. I wonder if there is an important bacterial or fungal component here
