Yeah I bought some the day I got the announcement it came back and that's the difference I noticed against yesterday. Not the policy specifically but the difference between 10% fee vs 90% fee for two identical transfer withing one week.

Fold stopped paying the miner fee when they brought back Bitcoin buying recently; on-chain fees can rise and fall pretty quickly, especially over the span of a few days.
