Obviously, there are terrorists. Almost every terrorist act, when you look beyond the headlines, the story almost never adds up. I don't know why people can't apply the most basic metric of who benefits?

What terrorists are you trying to root out anyways? I won't beat around the bush and say it: most (all?) terrorism has state origins. Definitions of insanity should include asking those creating a problem to be the ones to fix it.

I understand that "the state" is a big opponent. However, its power comes solely from the peoples' *desire* (not coercion) to give it power, which is what you happen to be doing looking for solutions to things that not everyone (like me) agrees are problems.

Right.

Correct.

I do. I know who benefits. I don't think you do. And there in lies the rub.

Mostly muslim extremists, leftist delusional drug-addled wannabe assasins, and the occasional explicit "splinter cell" type.

No. But also yes, if you consider the Caliphate to be the muslim "state" as such, then yes. All terrorist actions are started by the state.

I don't expect the ones creating problems to solve them without presenting another problem right after. (See covid and them the BLM riots, etc.)

Yes! You are correct. People cede power to "the state." I very much agree. The abdication of personal responsibility always leads to disaster. Amplified several billionfold when it is happening all over the world.

My solution for this particular issue is super simple, but it won't be done. These people (all foreign people who are committing or planning to commit theft, rape, and murder) should go back home and culturally enrich their own country. Please and thank you. Then we might have a chance of not collapsing so badly like every other empire in history. (We are overdue, in historical terms.)
