still on your mind from yesterday? ^^
well, it's also unfair to assert that just because patriarchy suppresses more than half of the population, that matriarchy would be the same or similar.
you mentioned the kind nature of bonobo apes yesterday in one of your responses. bonobo society is matriarchal—very peaceful and cooperative. we could learn a lot.
it doesn't follow that just because it's matriarchal, that the society would automatically disparage men. most women love their men and don't seek to dominate them, but love and cooperate with them.
many man-hating feminists are proponents of a matriarchy because they believe that it *would* be the inverse of a patriarchy. but many of these women have been hurt by men—by the patriarchy, and have let it make them toxic.
i think a matriarchy would be much more egalitarian than what we have now. at least, i'm certain that there wouldn't be political leaders raping underage girls on private islands for blackmail operations, or women and babies being blown up or starved for weapons manufacturer profits and warlord bloodlust.
anyway, just adding my thoughts to the matter since i have more time than yesterday. like i said, we don't have to agree. but i really love your notes and your takes—they usually get me thinking :3
