I’m not sure that there was a plugin for jellyfin in TruNas.

Idk, I don't have a proper nas, just an older computer that runs 24/7 with some really big hard drives

I looked at that option too. But I have a Freenas/Trunas sever I run at work so i’m familiar with those. I also played with openmediavault but the plex setup there was more complicated then i wanted to tackle for now.

It looks like it's possible, but it may be too much of a pain to do

I just bought the plex pass because all our kids are familiar with plex and I can expand out from just the music.
