The fact that is has happened means it will most likely happen again and again and again and again. It’s naive to think otherwise 🤣.

“It WiLl Be DiFfErEnT tHiS tIme. ThE DeVs GoT oUR bACk.” 😂😂

That’s what Ethereum, solans, and other shitcoiners say. Even safemoon idiots said that shit.

But because it’s attached to bitcoin it’s ok? 😂

Also each implementation has their own rules so you better be sure they don’t change them to something you disagree with later on. Maybe make your own where you make the rules and invite people to join yours and you are the supreme leader?

Maybe everyone should make their own and setup bridges between each other….or maybe just use L1 😂😂😂

I don’t think you understand how LN works.

There is no consensus.

Each node IS a bridge.

Say I am running LND. How would I open a channel with an CLN node? Walk me through the steps pretty please because I obviously know nothing 🤷‍♂️

You just open a channel, they all speak the same protocol

Since when? I will admit it’s been over 6 months since I last tried. CLN now supports option_anchors_zero_fee_htlc_tx?

Yeah, if it doesn't you can just turn that flag off on lnd

And what happens if they update the protocol to no longer allow that? Can you choose to not update it and the protocol works just fine?

Yeah, you just need the two nodes to agree. You probably do want to update though, anchor channels are more secure.

So I can run an older version of LND that came out over a year ago and open and close channels with other LND with no issues whatsoever?

No, because there was a bug. Idk why you're so hung up on old versions. We want that for bitcoin because it's a global consensus system, you don't need that for anything else.

Basically all other software you should be updating to get regular security patches etc

What if I disagree with something they add? I have to suck it up?

Fork the project

I've had this argument with this dude before. He just doesn't understand software at all.

Idk what I'm doing, just gonna block the larp

Typical shitcoiner behavior 😅

I’m running Bitcoin Core that was released in August 2010. Runs perfectly and validates each and every block every 10 minutes. I never have to update it. Ever. You can’t make me.

That's not possible lol there has been a hard fork since then

That was the last one

Bruh since they fixed the overflow bug shits been smooth
