Back in the early days of Instagram, I used hashtags to find things and people. Now, on #nostr, I'm doing something similar.

I'm thinking about whether we can use algorithms to make the nostr experience even better in the future, OR if algorithms might actually be causing problems in the first place.

So, what could make an algorithm work well? What would be a good reason for it to be there? Is there such a thing as a health algo - besides showing trending notes?

Maybe it can be used to make moderation easiet. I mean, catching spams etc. Other than that, don’t find any reason for using an algo.

Yeah good point. Scanning for scams. Could be like an antivirus program. You should be able to add any algo into any client. Not sure if it’s technically possible but could be cool.

I’m not a technical person but since this day, I believe social media companies worked on things that they can create profit from it.

If fine folks of nostr work on this issue, somehow they would reach the goal.
