I love whittling on hiking sticks. Would love to find some new ones to work on. Need to oil my recently finished ones and maybe find an end cap. How do you normally finish yours?

I've only ever carved one other. Some linseed oil & electrical tape has held it up well but this is a little nicer of a stick so I don't know what I'm going to do yet.
