Those are some well behaved ducks. Our routine is me behind the line saying, “Thank you. Good night” using a flashlight as a prompt. Also, I don’t feed at night. Feed and water stay in the run to reduce mess.

We are redesigning the coop to have food and water in a screened area outside but the nighttime feeding really helps motivate them to go-to bed!!

I used to put some scratch grains in a plastic can and shake it hard while calling the poultry, then treat them in the run once they went in. When you get your fenced run ready you might start doing similar then wean them off the night feeding. Like Pavlov’s dog. Hear the can shake get treats. 😆
