I got a buddy who is having a hard time getting kyc’d to send bitcoin out. He can buy/sell/and receive btc but can’t send out for some reason on most exchanges. Any idea why? And how to overcome this? He’s based in US

Exchanges and KCY and AML are black boxes where things usually work, but when they don't, no one knows why.

If you can't do what you need to, consider using peer to peer exchanges like nostr:nprofile1qqsgqfapsalnnesrmt7xxfu7qp95akwlscw33n5pm8zrclt3xhdg7egprdmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucnfw33k76twwpshy6ewvdhk6qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6at5d9h8jampd3kx2apwvdhk6tcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhscyvr9p or nostr:nprofile1qqsyx53h3h7ec4fwlspjq0kqec5gv54t7rc48xdtq6q4y94wsw4fnjqprdmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuumpw3ehgunpd35kztnrdakj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhrq7rrdpshgtnrdakj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uhgml9t

There is no "withdrawing" because you are just dealing with your own bitcoin wallet and trading directly with another person. Cut out the middleman and get shit done without permission.

There is a learning curve, but it is worth it.

Appreciate the advice. Luckily he’s technically competent so I sent this info his way

Sure is curious that sending out is the only issue. This is the risk or exchanges.

Common scam.
