I would boil them for 15mins or until just giving, drain. Crush lightly and roast alongside the chicken for the last 30mins in the fat. You can then give them a quick blast while the chicken is roasting. If you want to take to the next level, toss in some chopped rosemary, thyme, sage and garlic 3mins before the end. 😋

We're doing a roast chicken for Sunday lunch today, but have ended up with baby new potatoes. Can we still roast them or is it best to boil. The Mrs wants to do it one way, I think the other.
