Again, pretty big "car guy" myself. I got a buddy (really into racing and muscle cars) swears hes never had anything more reliable than his fit, its got like 300k on it and never had any major work done to it. Still driven pretty much daily. To tell you the truth, I've been on the lookout for a rust free one myself.

I feel like I can take dry heat pretty well, but yeah it's always the humidity that's killer. Roughly how long until the summit trip?

375k on my fit, but, the rust was not worth fixing. Was still regularly getting 40mpg and was absolutely the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

Second week of August. So, it'll be pretty warm until we break treeline, then it will be breezy enough to be better. Also, less nasty biting flies in August. I will stop be wearing a head net... Heh

Accomplishing things is better than being busy, IMO.

That's pretty sweet. I used to daily a Scion XB the stupid looking box cars (the early toaster shaped ones). That dumb thing did an average of 38mpg driving the wheels off it. I kind of wish I still had it.

Yeah, the only issues I've seen with them are body/trim stuff.
