Today's show - Memphis Soul Stew

Lot's of killer funk tracks as well as a very hot dub straight out the shed. As ever broadcast on RSS for a free and open internet, despite being told off in the chat for swearing... a friend was listening at work and I was explaining how fucking good I think Bernard Purdie is. I mean he's fucking amazing isn't he!? Shit!!!

Maybe I should invest in a bleeper...

Purdie! He’s played with many incredible bands and I’ve seen him in real life playing with Steely Dan at one of maybe more of their London appearances. Think I’ve seen them three times?

I think he appears on Babylon Sisters and Home at last for the studio recordings.

Oh wow seeing Purdie playing live must've been an absolute blast!!

It was indeed and I think they had five or six different drummers at different points in time. He’s played with so many other bands too. Absolute legend.
