Bitcoin is not the people's money. Bitcoin is money for everyone, including authoritarian governments, cabals, terrorists, Marxists, and Pedophile Satanists.

Bitcoin won't be money for everyone if we allow/support a single country gobbling up and hording the supply. My whole point...
it doesn't matter how much anyone gobbles up. When we talk about Bitcoin being decentralized we're not talking about the circulating supply. The US could buy 90% of the Bitcoin and it wouldn't matter at all.
Bitcoin rewards net producers and punishes net consumers. No one who is a net consumer can hold onto his Bitcoin.
If the US buys 99% of it, the remaining 1% can be used by everyone else. Still everyone's money. Over time the United States, the world's largest net consumer, will be forced to give away it's Bitcoin in exchange for the things it wants.
also important to remember that you cannot dis-allow anyone from using Bitcoin, including your government. "we can't allow it". You can't stop it, that's the magic of Bitcoin. It's for EVERYONE. And if someone has the means to acquire a lot of bitcoin, good for them! If they are a net producer, they can accumulate Bitcoin, if they are a net consumer, they cannot.
You seem to have a scarcity mindset with the idea that there is not enough Bitcoin to go around. On the contrary, there will ALWAYS be enough Bitcoin to go around. You just have to work for it, or trade something you already own for it.
Bitcoin is for everyone including your worst enemy. All that you need to worry about is being a net producer and storing your surplus in Bitcoin and you'll be fine.
