Good morning, #nostriches!
Today is beach day with friends. I will have watermelon on the beach. I will not wear sunscreen or sunglasses. I predict I will not burn.

Better use sunscreen i think
Nope. I'm just starting to set some freckles on my otherwise very white shoulders, but no redness or burning.
Ok as you wish. Personally i regret that sometimes i didn't use sunscreen and i don't dare to expose my skin to the sun for more than 5 or 10 minutes. I might use it in the winter also, especially for the nose. Nut i had sun burning many times in the past, don't know about you.
Yup.
When I changed my lifestyle I noticed I stopped burning my skin.
I'm just able to listen to my body in general my better.
(And we just spent weekend with our family by pool, sun, over 30 Celsius, no issues.)
I am paying the price today, being a pink, sensitive mess. It's worse trying to find aloe that's just aloe without a list of chemicals added.
Good morning, many blessings & Pura Vida
Long live bitcoin & nostr
Have a happy Saturday
Thank you!
I am!
'Morning, Beave!
Watermelon sounds like a good plan :)
If you've slowly built up your UV tolerance, you probably won't burn. Probably.
(For science!)
so I recently went to Tenerife for holiday, did not wear any sunscreen or sunglasses for the full 2 weeks, what I noticed is the body needs to get used to the sun. living in the UK I'm not used to it at all and your body needs to be eased into it. like a spastic I took everything off for the whole first day without even getting in the water (the water makes it way easier to be under the sun) and ended up burning. i was then careful the next 3 days while my burns healed to keep them covered with a T-shirt/towel. it was mainly my shoulders. and then slowly eased myself into the sun tthe rest of the holiday. by the end I was chilling shirtless wherever I wanted and I came home with an incredibly nice tan. going Egypt to see family soon and will follow the same plan, hoping to come back black😂😂😂
tenerife is literally the location of the ancient Tartarus, up on top of that volcano peak (and yes charon is the dude who ran the ferry from the coast of what is now Mauritania) and yes they called that patch of water Styx lol
