Thanks. Nothing beats a good quartz watch… but the mechanical movement is cool.

I had bought an aviator style watch for my son’s graduation years ago and he still wears it when we go out…

I’m a pilot. I looked at both the X-wind by Hamilton and the e6b style flight watch and realized there was a 0% chance I would ever use those features, as I never pick up an e6b even if I fly a 1938 Aeronca. The iPad is just too much of a crutch for pilots nowadays.

I was looking at the X wind. Any of these with a Chrono I always look to see if they have the 10 minute regatta start markup for sailing races. But I never really spot a sailing race specific watch. I enjoy a chrono for the mechanics, but like you said, I’d rarely if never use it.
