I turned off my VPN for the first time in forever to test something and forgot to switch it back on.
However, I finally caught it when I tried to go to Archive.today, only to find that my local ISP had blocked the site, claiming it was some kind of scam site. This is the first time I've ever encountered such a warning from my ISP, which goes to show that it really does pay to have a VPN. Who is my ISP to tell me whether I can use an alternative archiving site or not?!

I'm in Southeast Asia, and I suspect the national government of my current country will side with the ISP in this regard.
