Remind me again why you are declaring those words as unacceptable in our society?
I just think they’re counterproductive to what we’re trying to achieve here.
I don’t think that insulting others is the best path forward. Even though most people are playful with them, I think it does more harm than good.
When was the last time someone insulted you, and you proceeded to take their advice. Or value their opinion. Or listen to another word they said.
Jor this happens all the time in Australia.
When you mess up you cop abuse and you take the tough love. Sometimes a brutal reality check is the greatest form of love someone can show you.
Everyone is different.
I get where you are coming from - but we have leave some scope in our society to battle each other with language. It sure beats the sword. I'm not sure the word 'normie' is ever applied in a context of actual hatred.
Yes very fair points and I would agree with most.
I never said it was hateful at all. It just seems like it belittles people because they don’t understand something.
That was us, not that long ago.
And although I’m a big advocate of friendly banter, again I just think it does more harm than good.
Just my opinion.
Fair enough. I'm going to continue to use those terms but respect your choice not to. I agree that our choice of language can impact the openness of someone to the Bitcoin message.
