Whatever allows capable computing, interface and machine, to finally completely break free from desktops. I really hope this can live up to the aspiration, spatial computer and all.

I want a practical way to interact with virtual work while having both hands free for physical work.

It seems we might get there soon with a good LLM. 🤞

What specific use cases are you thinking of? As a coder I still envisage using keyboard and mouse…but maybe not?

I’ve also seen some anecdotal evidence that eye strain can be be massively reduced because of the variation in focal distance, which could be a massive selling point.

I think of architectural design, physically work and move freely on site while having direct visual and acoustic links available for notes, models, web media, and various sensor recording capabilities for documentation and processing. The extended range of different sensors also plays a critical role in making wearable computers useful I think.

The potential eye strain reduction seems generally significant.

I see an unknown factor in the device weight however, I found wearing AirPods Max for longer stretches pretty unsatisfactory in that regard.
