Walk … rather float to a room & a man is lying there. He’s on his side. I walk around to see it’s you sleeping. Peacefully. Look over & see your glasses on a small table. They were atop ( books redacted ).
Lay down next to you. Wrap my arms around you. Only as I drift off do I realize it never occurred to me that you took your glasses off to sleep.
The bed was smaller than I’d expected but it felt nice. Blue covers. There was a nick in one of the footboard. Maybe I was imagining it was your childhood bed. Who knows?
