We could do automatic translation but for software interfaces the automated stuff isn’t great. And as an open source project we welcome contributions from the community and for many people localization is a great easy way to contribute.

Question on that though:
Text translations are cheap, but not free. Is this something users would pay for? Or how do you expect to navigate that?
