I finally looked at the ladies behind the desk and said:

Nope! Not doing it. Going home. She has too much life and will in her.

One of the ladies nodded as we vamoosed.

This morning, even before her pain meds, she walked almost “normally” out to go pee and poop.

She’s almost back to where she was.

I know it’s a matter of time but with my not doing stupid shit like letting a blind dog stumble out of cars who knows?

A fine line between mercy and murder……

That's true, but I wouldn't think of it as murder if your intentions aren't malicious. That would be too harsh on yourself.

Hope she gets better soon. That's one of the hardest things to deal with. You don't want to keep them in pain just for you. I struggled with the same thing with my Pitt when he had cancer. They will absolutely tell you when they are ready to go. They will separate and stop eating. If that's not happening then keep going. Dogs can take a lot. There will to live is extraordinary. I'll send healing energy your way. Good luck, hope she feels better soon
